On Gomotes you find everything related to my self made emoticons. From actual emoticon battles, till a gallery full of my new emoticons. Also I try to write about related emoticon stuff from all over the world.

SimpleSmile
The site get a new structure. I felt I needed some little updates so I played a little bit around. I focused that every single emoticon and article is more recognizable. The result you saw now online. On the mainpage you found now the 5 latest articles, just click on the article name to view the full article. The emoticon battle moved from the top to the foot part of the site, also the search button. If you search for something you found also the latest 5 results. Just type a phrase into the search box and hit or press your enter key and the results would load automaticly.

On the other site I wanted to made clean for what SimpleSmile is. At first I made this for my fans and everyone who is interested in my emoticons and work I do. This place allow you different functions I can’t realize at Smileydesign. Every new emoticon have a info box right under the emoticon itself. There you can found some nice little features you can use for your own.

One thing is Fave, this function show me if you like the emoticon or not. If you click on the little heart you can add a fave. The more faves a emoticon have, the more chances this emoticon would be choose for the next emoticon battle.

Another nice function is share. If you want to show your friends one of my emoticons you can easily choose the little icons to send your friends a email, publish a tweet at twitter, add a bookmark at delicious, or write a message at facebook.

And the most important part for my fans is vote. The actual emoticon battle moved a little bit from the top, down to the foot part of the site. It’s nice to see how many of you decided with there vote which emoticon went into the Hall of Fame.

Football Smileys
From 11th June till 11th July the FIFA 2010 World Cup is in South Africa for this ocassion I made a special emoticon. The vuvuzela emoticon, I made out of this, 32 fan emoticons so that everyone can support his favorite team. You can find all emoticons in the new football gallery at Smileydesign. The gallery have a new layout I made some changes and add for every emoticon a descprition so you can easily choose the team you want to support. Also you can share this collection with your friends via mail, twitter, delicious or facebook. You only need to choose the little icons for this.

Ultimate Emoticon Battle 2009
183 people which means a new record was part of the battle. It was yay which wins with 32 votes! Between the 2nd and 5th place it was very close only 4 votes between 6 emoticons that impressed me a little bit. I’m also happy that every emoticon get a vote the last emoticons get both 3 votes. It was head to head but for the very first time the most visitors come from poland and not from germany. Glad to see you around guys. Austria reach it again into the top 5 and I need to made a emoticon for them, but at the moment I run out of ideas…

Navigation and Search
There many ways to browse through the site. On the mainpage you have the page navi right below the article. If you view an article you’ve now a new navigation above the article. So you can easily browse to the next article.

If you search something you can saw the complete article now, below the article you found the page navigation and you can easily browse through the other articles, which search have found.

Wordmotes v.1 released
Finally after some time I released the Wordmotes as free emoticon pack for usage on your mails, blogs, websites or messengers. Just download them and use them where you want. Noticed the readme of do’s and dont’s.

Smileydesign
Maybe you’ve already noticed that Smileydesign is now symbiosis with SimpleSmile. I wanted to show with the layout changes that the both sites belong together. Smileydesign on one site, where you can use my emoticons directly and complete free for your comments and SimpeSmile on the other site where you can get in touch and read about my brand new emoticons.
